Pablo Barreiro come back to Nove (Bassano del Grappa, Italia) to continue whith his investigation about ceramic process
Artist Pablo Barreiro (Meaño, España, 1982) played between october-november 2015 in the artistic residency program NUOVE//Residency in Nove, Bassano del Grappa (Italy), with the support of on of the MAC Movility Fellowship (Contemporary Art Musem Gas Natural Fenosa, A Coruña, Spain). His investigation -follow-up COPY//ERROR project-, born from the models heritage, forms and ceramic objects inside the ceramic industrial context of Nove village.Currently, thanks to one of the Bolsas de Estudios Artísticos de la Diputación de A Coruña 2017, return to Nove, the "Ceramic Village" to expand this investigation, in his desire to inquire about the ceramic reproductibility concept, problematic between copy and original in serial process and between art and handcraft.
In this ocassion, Pablo Barreiro is going to work in Terramica factory and will collaborate with Cristiani Ceramics, Civas Prodotti Ceramiche and Clabello. Departing from their archives and disused moulds, the artist aim is that these ones are now included in the exhibition space like a residual element in production process that its incorporated to the final work.
